Question: If your church ministries and programs could be likened to a fence or a bridge, what would they be?
My wife, with the help of some great people, founded a non-profit called WhatIfEveryone.com. The organization exists to inspire and help everyone to serve their world. It was founded by Mosaic but not for Mosaic. It was not a “serve” day or week to gather our people to be less selfish and actually serve (nothing wrong with that, just wasn’t our motive) – It was create to be more, to gather anyone and everyone to serve anyone and everyone.
Recently, we had a board meeting in which we were faced with hard decisions. There was healthy conflict and tension- all good stuff….
Does your Church service offer a religious experience? Have you ever wondered if church services are designed to offer “corporate religious experiences” rather than a personal introduction to Jesus? Here is where I’m coming from -I met Jesus outside of the Church (a church service). I met him in my room and so did most of my family as Muslims. I have seen people have a corporate religious experience and “believe in Jesus,” but never really meet Him and follow Him.
Could the Gospel be about meeting Jesus and following Him? Could it be that simple?
